De Drait Sports Hall in Drachten

The De Drait sports hall in the Dutch city of Drachten has been designed from the ground up with a strong focus on sustainability and energy efficiency. The building is fully electric, with no natural gas, covered with photovoltaic panels, and features highly insulated roofing and façades. Euro Air textile air outlets fit naturally into this concept.

In the restaurant area, half-round ducts made of TCS material in light grey (RAL 9002) with DFC perforation in the Induction variant are installed and suspended on rails. In the gymnasium, round ducts made of the same-colored DFC-HT material are used, also with DFC perforation in the Induction variant. In both spaces, the system ensures even air distribution along the entire duct length, without drafts or dead zones.

In addition, textile ducting contribute to operational sustainability in a practical way, thanks to their low weight and packaging in cartons up to 25 kg, they can be delivered by courier service. This eliminates the need for truck transport and significantly reduces the overall carbon footprint of the installation.
