Frequently Asked Questions about textile HVAC systems and Euro Air.
Here you will find a summary of the most frequently asked questions about textile HVAC systems and air distribution or cooperation with Euro Air.
If you have questions that you cannot find answers to here, please contact us.
Why you should consider air distribution based on textile material?
Textile ducts are able to provide you with many advantages that are impossible to get by using traditional sheet metal ductwork.
One of the biggest benefits you will get by using textile is 100% even air distribution due to the air permeability through the entire surface.
In addition to this, fabric ducts can also help you in terms of reducing the cost and time associated with transportation, installation or maintenance. Thanks to textile, you can save up to 70% of the time required for the installation of the HVAC system and up to 20 times less stress on the ceiling of your building.
You can learn more about what textiles can offer you and what sheet metal ducts can't on this page.
What fabrics are we using?
The fabrics we use at Euro Air can be classified into two groups for ease understanding:
- The materials that we manufacture by our own hands in our own weaving mill located in Denmark. These all materials are permeable, specifically it is DFC-HT, TCS, antistatic TCS and Nomex. They are all made of 100% polyester and are certified according to the OekoTex® standard.
- DFC-0 material we are unable to produce ourselves because of its special impermeable properties, therefore we are purchasing it from a proven supplier from Italy. This material is also made of polyester, but additionally contains a PU coating.
For detailed information about each material, please refer to the technical datasheet of the individual material.
How heavy is the ventilation based on textile?
Our materials weigh between 260 and 330 g/m2, which is approximately 20 times lighter than traditional sheet metal ducts.
What happens to the textile ductwork in the case of a fire?
The materials we use at Euro Air are designed to be fire resistant according standard EN-13501 UL 723/NFPA 90 A level B-S1-d0.
What shapes of textile ducting do you supply?
We offer textile ducting in shapes of circle, semicircle, and quarter-circle, which easily adapt to various architectural requirements.
What color options do you offer and is it possible to print a pattern on the textile ducting?
For each material, we offer a selection of several standard and special colors. We can also create any color according to RAL upon request or fabric printing. Details about methods and availability can be found on the page about weaving mill or in the current product availability leaflet.
How do I install textile HVAC systems?
Installation is very simple and quick. We offer solutions using ceiling rails, suspension rails, or cables. More information about mounting options can be found on the installations page.
Do you also manufacture ducting for air extraction?
No, we do not manufacture ducts for air extraction.
Textile HVAC systems are designed to operate on the principle of positive pressure, which is necessary for their proper function.
The textile material is not capable of maintaining the negative pressure needed for extraction.
