If there were no ducts, heat would be escaping into the room and defrosting would take much longer.

The Defrost Socks application prevents heat from escaping into the space, by covering the opening when the defrosting mode is switched off. This prevents warm air from escaping into the space and helps the unit defrost much faster. The use of the Defrost Sock during defrosting can therefore reduce the overall process time by up to half, and as a consequence brings the benefit of savings on energy consumption.
